Why I’m Proud to Support Joe Capodiferro for Farmington Town Council

As someone deeply invested in our community's past, present, and future, I believe strong leadership is built on dedication, integrity, and meaningful results. That’s why I’m proud to endorse Joe Capodiferro for re-election to the Farmington Town Council.

Joe is not a career politician—he's a community steward. A neighbor. A leader who quietly rolls up his sleeves and gets things done without chasing the spotlight. Over the last four years, Joe has served Farmington with purpose and humility, always placing people above politics. Under his leadership as Council Chair and previously as Vice Chair, our town has advanced in critical areas—without sacrificing fiscal responsibility or the charm that makes Farmington home.

Among his accomplishments:

Joe championed the new high school project, ensuring our students have access to a state-of-the-art learning environment that reflects the values and future of our town.

He played a vital role in the creation of two state-recognized Cultural Districts—one in Farmington Village and one in Unionville—helping to preserve our rich history while fostering local arts and tourism.

He supported the formation of the Racial Equality Taskforce, demonstrating his commitment to inclusion, representation, and respectful dialogue.

As liaison to committees like TPZ, Land Acquisition, and the 1928 Building project, Joe has prioritized smart planning and preservation.

And perhaps most importantly—he’s held firm on fiscal responsibility, maintaining essential town services without raising burdensome taxes on families and seniors.

Joe listens. Joe shows up. Joe delivers.

I believe in leaders who remember where we came from while pushing us toward what we can become. Joe Capodiferro is that kind of leader—and Farmington is stronger because of him.

Please join me in voting for Joe this election season. Let’s keep Farmington in good hands.

With gratitude,
Abby Wadsworth Boretto
