C.J. Thomas Endorses Keith Vibert for Town Council
Keith Vibert has been an exemplary member of the Town Council, and I wholeheartedly endorse his return for another two years.
I served with Keith, as Town Council Chair during the COVID years. During that unprecedented time, he was a calm, intelligent, and levelheaded voice for our community, contributing to the smooth, continual, and successful functioning of Town Services.
Keith was also critical in our deliberations for saving Farmington High School’s 1928 building from demolition. As a lifelong, fifth generation resident he had a perspective few other members could match, and had his pulse on what residents wanted. I watched Keith explain to constituents how we could save this historic building without causing an undue tax burden, resulting in an overwhelming Yes vote from town residents.
In addition, Keith understands the town’s needs as well as appropriate spending levels. His business acumen, as owner/operator of Mondo’s Pizza, helped the Council, particularly during budget meetings. He has been a key component in keeping our taxes low, while not compromising on town services and continuing to support our excellent schools.
Most important to me, in a time where national politics seems to be “us versus them”, Keith sees only the common goals of Unionville and Farmington and their residents. He does a tremendous job of fostering civil debate, open discussions, and bringing people with differing viewpoints together.
Please join me in supporting Keith Vibert in this year’s elections.
